AIDS Walk

So after talking with Sarah tonight, I decided to sign up for the AIDS WALK. It's on September 25th, which just happens to be the day after Meghan arrives. So. Meg is doing it too! Woot woot. And Amy and Katie are volunteering in the kids tent. Wow...I have some great people-minded friends...*grin*.

If anyone wants to sponsor me/donate money, you can go here. And you all should!!! C'mon...it's for a really great cause, and you can get at tax receipt too.

Fanny's Quote

Read this in the Vancouver Sun today. It caught my attention...

"What did I learn from all this? ... To be very clear on the difference between what you think you want and what you really want." - Fanny Kiefer the full story

I love that. Everyone thinks they know what they want, but is it what they really want? Don't be fooled by what people say or what society tells you to do. Be your own person. Do what you want and what will make you happy. You're not being selfish - you're living your life. And you're the only person who can do that.

'tis the season for change

wow. So much is changing right now! I think autumn really is a great time to move, because everything's changing....the weather, the leaves...it all changes.

I found an apartment! Meghan and I will be moving in on October 5th. It's all very exciting! I've gotten a whole bunch of boxes from work...and now my bedroom is starting to look like a backroom at Starbucks, hahaha. Meghan arrives here in 2 weeks, and my goal is to be pretty much all packed when she gets here. That way I don't have to worry about that while she's here - we can go looking for jobs and make a few stops at places like, oh I don't know...Ikea? Hahaha. Since I know Meg is dying to go there. Me, well, of course I'd go there anyday too - buuut, I've already made many purchases there. Ahem.

Well, back to packing up my life! It sure is refreshing doing this. It's forcing me to get rid of things that I really didn't need anymore (hello trip souvenirs! titanic memorabillia! stuffed animals!), and reminding me of some of my most treasured items. Let's just say our apartment is gonna kick some serious ass.

;)
