12 sleeps till Christmas
Last Friday I went out to Surrey and met up with some of my "church" friends. They're friends that I've gone through so much with...went to Newfoundland with...and have talked and listened so much that my face and ears burned. They're good friends. Anyway, we met up at a coffee shop and caught up on each others lives. Two of my friends, Matt and Jennie, just had a baby girl, Grace, a couple of months ago. She was adorable!
Baby Grace.
I can't believe that my friends are starting to have babies...nevermind the MARRIAGE part too. Eeek.
The next day, I opened at work...and totally slept in. My coworker who was picking me up for work, well, he woke me up when he called to say he was on his way. SHITE! I somehow managed to get out the door in less than 5 minutes...how I did that? A mystery that will never be solved.
Later that night, I met Katya downtown and we went and picked Meghan up from work and then made our way out to Ikea! We bought some ornaments, and a few other things. Yay! I *heart* Ikea. Hahaha.
Once back home, we headed over to Mosquito Creek! It was nuts - we didn't get there till midnight, but we each still had 3-4 drinks and danced, danced, danced! Aww...fun times. Katya crashed at the apartment, and then the 3 of us put up the tree the next morning!!! Yay!!! While I was at work, Meg put the lights up on the tree and we decorated it with some of the ornaments once I was home. We even put on some Christmas music...fun times. :) Everything about the Christmas tree this year has been special: from my fabulous coworker helping me get it (he picked me up, drove me to not one, but TWO different places to buy trees, carried it to the truck, and out of the truck once back to the apartment! aww...all I did was pay for it! I owe him big time I tell ya...), helping put it up (while Meg held the tree, Katya and I filled the bucket with the rocks...we had some nasty looking hands afterwards, lol. K...I love you girl!), and decorating it (Meg's mom and sister-in-law sent us a few ornaments, we've bought some together, and I've got some of my own too). Yes. I've become quite sentimental since I've moved out. Nevermind all the lovey-dovey stuff that comes along with Christmas too...sigh.
Anyway, Meg's just called to say that she's on her way home, so I must go meet her at Safeway! Later folks...
