today....and Birds of Wales
So I think I'm getting sick again. My throat is all swollen. Grr. I only just finished getting better, and now this. Ugh. I guess to be fair, I don't really ever let myself get better. I still continue on with life...oh well. Off to the doctor tomorrow. It's serious this time. :( Boo.
Today was a good day. Slept in til 1pm (no joke)...the Meg was up shortly after. We both had the day off too. She was in a very cheerful mood (this was very odd), and had all these great plans for our day, "let's organize the storage room! clean up this shelf!". Alas, neither of those were accomplished. We did however both hang paintings in each of our rooms, and I hung two other framed pieces. I began re-organizing my closet too. Found a few more things that I can live without, and I cleaned it up a bit. Not done yet, but it felt like I was off to a good start. We managed to catch a movie tonight too - we went and saw the new Russell Crowe movie, A Good Year. It was pretty good. A nice, light hearted movie...and, get ready for this, the first Russell Crowe movie that I've ever seen in the theatre! No joke. Don't tell Meg...but I'm actually starting to really like him. Hehe.
Later on, we went over to our friends' home and watched a couple episodes of "24". It was the first time I'd seen it, and now I might just be hooked. Damn them! Oh well, it was a lovely evening that even came with popcorn and wine. Mmm. Loved that wine.
Now I really wanted to post some recent photos, but there are none. Shocking...I know. But the camera never came out this weekend, so there are no pics! Instead, here are a few from a night in October (Thanksgiving weekend actually), that Katya, Meghan and I went to the Media Club to see a fabulous band called Birds of Wales. They're from Toronto, and couldn't be nicer guys. Morgan even hooked us up with some delovely guest list stuff too. Yay him! :) I'm excited to see him play a solo show at the Railway next month....but for now, here are a few of the shots.
Me and Katya at the Media Club.
Me being overly happy. haha. This *never* happens...ahem. Or maybe suprised by something. Huh.
I loved this for some reason. So orange and lovely.
Morgan :)

Thanksgiving
Ok. So I've been going crazy. I'm not sure what it is exactly...but ever since Meghan left for Manitoba on Tuesday, I've been blogging like mad. Maybe it's because there's no distractions? Or maybe I'm used to having someone to talk to all the time and with her out of town...well, I'm home alone! Haha. Well, whatever the reason...I'm having fun posting pictures and writing stuff up here...so here goes another one!
Thanksgiving! I know it was about a month ago, but I thought I'd write a bit about it and post some pictures. Let's see....the Saturday of that weekend I went to my aunt and uncle's house for a yummy dinner. My mom came and of course Meg came along too. It was a good night...always good when family's around.
My two crazy cousins, Robbie and Eric.
Eric is always hamming it up for the camera...haha.
He got changed into his pj's, and was running around showing them off to everyone. Well, Meg happened to be in the bathroom at this point, and he was waiting outside the door for her to come out. He then said, "c'mon! I'm cuter now then I was before!" omg. So cute! :)
Hehe.
Moi.
Me and Meghan.
Getting our leftovers ready! Mmm...gotta love Thanksgiving leftovers.
The loot! haha.
That Saturday wasn't the only Thanksgiving dinner Meghan and I got this year...we decided to cook one ourselves on Monday. So we did just that. We invited over some friends, and they came! Yay. haha. Amy, Greg, Katie, Dave and Duane all came and we had such a great night. Everyone brought parts to the meal and then once the food had been eaten, we play a hilarious game of rummoli (I'm not sure if I spelled that right. Hmm). Anyway, it was great fun and everyone helped clean up the kitchen too. Thanks to Katie and Meghan especially for cooking the turkey, hanging pictures on the wall, and decorating the apartment so fabulously! Can't wait til next year.
Our table was decorated so beautifully!
Katie kicked ass at decorating it. *grin*
Here's Meg cooking the turkey!
We went through four boxes of stuffing...crazy!!
Katie brought some yummy Purdy's chocolates for us enjoy. During the game, Amy folded the wrapers into little glasses...haha. We're weird, I know.
Greg waiting for dinner...
Dave, Katie and Meg dishing up their food in the kitchen.
Us ladies and the bird! I love how Duane is in the background, haha.
Game time!
Grr! Duane getting the bird ready to take home and make soup!
Amy helped dry the dishes!
And the surprise guest of honour?? DOYLE! Heehee. We were all so happy to see him here...I think he had fun too.

My living room.
My dining room.
Foster and Molly's home.
They've got a fancy fishtank...it's got a light and everything!
Meghan and Katie hung these pictures and candles on Thanksgiving. It looks so great up on the wall! I think we did a good job at getting everyone's photos up there...I love looking at it. :)
This magnetic board is on the shelf in the living room. We're always changing the photos on it. Right now we've got a bunch of photos from our summer/early fall up there.
This magnetic strip is in the hallway. I love the photobooth pics of Meghan and her nephew. So cute!

after party crazyness...
So like I'd said before...on our way home from Katya's birthday we had a slight detour. Here's a couple pics from the drunken after party. Haha. Yeahhh.
Tre, Katie, Meg and Matt...I don't know what's up with Meg here. Haha. I think she thinks she owns the room or something, LOL.
Tre and me. Oh lordy.

Halloween....part un
Since Halloween fell on a Tuesday this year, us, like most I think, celebrated it on the weekend. Saturday was our night. Katie, Meg and I met up at a house that Katie is house-sitting at, and we got all ready for the night. We even did a bit of pre-drinking (of course!). Then we headed over to the Railway Club and met up with Greg and Amy. We had a smashing time there...one of my best times at the Railway in quite sometime. Everyone was out and in fine form. I smile just thinking of that night. There was naturally a few bumps in the road for all of us (ahem)...but in the end, it was amazing. Here are a few pics from that night, and since it won't let me put more than these eight in this post...I'll post a few more in the next one. xo. C.
Our dining room table...covered in Halloween costumes.
Our fabulous wings! Katie, Meg and I each have a pair.
Meg...oooh la la.
So did you want gold hairspray or not?!
Reow...sexy Katie.
Checking ourselves out in the bathroom...hehe.
Greg and Amy had awesome costumes! Here they are at the Railway Club dressed as Indiana Jones and Lara Croft: Tomb Raider...hehe. Bravo!
Rawr! Hahaha.
